ArtCampArt Camp -  June 6th – 10th  and/or June 13th – 17th  taught by Diana Weems & Melinda Ellisor this exciting camp will offer your little artist the chance to create multiple art projects using a variety of media including watercolor, acrylic paint, pastels and a few other things thrown in the mix. This camp will be full of color and lots of fun! Class fee of $150 for the week includes all art supplies. For children in grades 1 – 6. Lego-EngineeringPre-Engineering using LEGO® (ages 5-6) June 27th – July 1st 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO®! Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes and motorized cars, and use special pieces to create your own unique design! Explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Engineering FUNdamentals using LEGO® (ages 7-12)  June 27th-July 1st 1:00 PM–4:00 PM Power up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as arch bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars, and the Battletrack! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. Jr. Deputy Academy – June 30th – July 2nd taught by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office this free course is for boys and girls ages 9 & 10, interested in law enforcement. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Daily. In its 15th year, the academy is designed to introduce youth to the various aspects of the sheriff’s office and public service personnel. Students will meet patrol deputies, fire and emergency service crews, detectives and SWAT members.  Jr. Deputy Academy participants will also see a helicopter, tour the Hays County Jail and 911 communications center, watch a drug detection dog work, hear about Stranger Danger, and learn much more on how to make good decisions and help law enforcement.
